Friday Night Yoga Club (FNYC), is an annual winter series which gathers our yoga community around the most innovative and inspiring yoga instructors and musicians in the Greater Denver area. It’s an evening of heart-opening yoga practice and soul-felt chanting and dance to find our deepest, truest Self – the sacred, joyful identity we all share. Plus, 10% of all revenue raised supports the Chanda Plan Foundation who’s goal is to help persons with disabilities heal their whole body.
With grounding meditations, flowing asana practice, the most nourishing of foods and drinks and incredible live and DJ music all in a sacred yet playful landscape… all is brought into fruition for YOU. Come and discover that although the path may sometimes seem tough, that in just one breath – in that most sacred of moments – you realize you have already arrived.
A Sacred Journey – FNYC’s 2011 theme – visits Denver’s most beloved yoga studios each week and delivers an unparalleled yogic adventure offering a whimsical lighting and design environment along with a top-notch sound system. The instruction will flow through many types of yoga including Forrest, Jivamukti, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara, and Dharma Mittra Yoga.
The musical offerings will be unparalleled on the Denver yoga playground. Imagine live tabla players performing along side Denver’s most beloved down-tempo DJs. Envision Bhakti grooves leading us in ecstatic chant. See yourself begin in a deeply grounding meditation; slowly you begin to move guided by prana-fueling instruction accompanied by slow, and rhythmic beats, enlivened by soul-stirring chanting. The energy in the room inspires us all to move. The beats go deeper and get stronger. The bass thickens. The volume increases. Our hearts thump. The sweat pours… Our hearts open…
