Phillip B. Chupik attended the University of Colorado Boulder, graduating with a degree in Political Science in 1992. He went on to attend the University of Texas School of Law. After earning his Juris Doctorate from UT, Phil took a position with the Galveston County District Attorney’s office. After about three years of criminal prosecution in Texas, Phil and his wife decided to move back to Colorado where he entered the civil litigation practice, representing developers, builders, physicians, and hospitals in negligence claims brought against them. In 2008, after many years on the defense side, Phil decided to utilize his litigation skills to help injured Plaintiffs. He made the decision to change his practice to that of representing those who had little, or no voice in the justice system. He joined Metier Law Firm in 2008 and represents clients in medical malpractice and nursing home, trucking and auto cases, and clients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries. Phil simply says, it was one of the best decisions he ever made. He is continually amazed at the strength of individuals in the face of troubled and trying times and the will to keep going against great odds. Phillip and his wife, Tawyna, live in Fort Collins with their three boys. He is an avid hiker, sailor, and occasionally plays his favorite sport tennis when he is not involved in his boys weekend activities. He is trying to learn to play his beautiful John Mayer, Taylor made guitar that served as his introduction to The Chanda Plan Foundation after winning it at the organization's 2009 People To Know benefit, but by all accounts, he still stinks.
